Use HomeStart safely

You may use HomeStart only for lawful activity and for systems, feeds and accounts you are authorised to access.

You must not

  • Probe, scan, attack or bypass security controls on HomeStart or another service.
  • Connect stolen credentials, expose unrestricted administrator APIs or publish private infrastructure secrets.
  • Upload malware, unlawful content, harassment, fraud or material that infringes another person’s rights.
  • Use automated traffic that unreasonably burdens the service, evades rate limits or scrapes private user data.
  • Resell or misrepresent HomeStart without written permission.
  • Use monitoring widgets as a substitute for required safety, medical, financial or emergency systems.

Enforcement

We may rate-limit, disable an integration, suspend an account, preserve evidence or report activity where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law or investigate a serious breach. We consider context and proportionality and provide an appeal route through support@homestart.page where appropriate.
